The Centre for Studies of Home’s annual postgraduate study day is taking place on 23 October 2013 at the Geffrye Museum of the Home in London. This event is open to all postgraduate students working on home and domesticity, in both historic and contemporary contexts.
The study day will comprise 15-minute papers engaging with the subject of home. The day will also include an open discussion session on the topic of methodologies and how research changes and develops over the course of a project. A set of questions relating to the open discussion session will be circulated prior to the event.
The study day will provide an exciting opportunity to hear about current research and meet other postgraduate students and staff from the centre. There will also be an opportunity to visit the Geffrye Museum galleries during the day.
Current and recent postgraduate students are invited to submit a brief summary of their proposed paper. Postgraduate students who do not wish to present a paper are very welcome to attend this event and participate in the discussion. It is free to attend the event but booking is essential.
